Located Northwest of Bodega just five miles from the Pacific Ocean, the Platt Vineyard sits at an elevation range of 425-800 feet above sea level. A mild maritime climate, it has a South-facing slope and boasts some of the coolest temps in California with an average winter low-temp of January of 41° F and summer high-temp of 75° F. The planted Chardonnay is One Wente clone on 420A rootstock and the vineyard is known for fine, Goldridge sandy loam soil. Farmed sustainably and cane pruned. Crushed limestone and white lily fill permeate the glass. On the palate, the structure and flavors are seamless and integrated.
Winemaker's Notes | Sliced pear, raw almond, and pressed pineapple intertwine with an acidity that carries the wine to a long finish where bright lemon zest and fresh cream linger.
