Located Northwest of Bodega just five miles from the Pacific Ocean, the Platt Vineyard sits at an elevation range of 425-800 feet above sea level. A mild maritime climate, it has a South-facing slope and boasts some of the coolest temps in California with an average winter low-temp of January of 41° F and summer high-temp of 75° F. The planted Chardonnay is One Wente clone on 420A rootstock and the vineyard is known for fine, Goldridge sandy loam soil. Farmed sustainably and cane pruned.
Winemaker's Notes | Our 2020 “Platt Vineyard” Chardonnay is rich with a golden hue. Aromas of orange zest, pineapple and almond macaron compliment the white nectarine and dried pear on the palate. There’s a clean, energetic hint of salinity that gently expands into a soft, luxurious finish.
